I’m still reading this book, but I had to stop and write this post to tell you about it. Its that good, its that complete, and its that necessary to have in your library. The book is called, Giants: Sons of The Gods, by Douglas Van Dorn.
At first I thought this was going to be just another book about giants, nephilim, hybrids and fallen angels, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. In fact, I’d consider this book to be a nicely done expansion to my book, As The Days of Noah Were. In my book, I focused on the total lifetime of Noah, the events surrounding the flood, and the possible future implication of those events. Giants: Sons of The Gods is 361 pages of rational, historical, investigation into Nephilim Giants, and their affect on the history of mankind.
Again, I haven’t finished this book, but its very well written. The only drawback that I’ve found so far is that Van Dorn uses a lot of big words where smaller words will get the point across just fine, and he falls into the divisive liberal vs. conservative paradigm, which annoys me just a little. However, it is very precise without a ton o fluff (I love that), and the style of writing is enjoyable to read.
If you enjoyed As The Days of Noah Were, you’ll definitely enjoy this book as well. Again, Giants: Sons of Gods is the book I would write if I ever wanted to write a book specifically about the Nephilim. If you don’t have it already, get a copy ASAP. I’m very impressed with the mount of time, research, and attention to detail that has gone into this book. I can’t recommend it enough.
