This series of posts is a mini project that I’m working on, meant to explore the origin, life, and judgement of the Antichrist. Think of it as a public brainstorming session. Everyone is invited to participate, so feel free to add your comments.
The Birth of The Antichrist
There are many people, including myself that believe Satan will try to mimic as many aspects of the Messiah’s life as possible, in order to pass off his imitation as the original. The first area I want to touch on in this short series are the circumstances that may surround his birth.
“Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.” – Isaiah 7:14
The prophecy of the virgin birth is one of the cornerstone prophecies used to identify the true Christ. In the distant past, a virgin birth would be nothing short of a miracle and would call attention to both the mother and child. Believe it or not, there is actually a scientific term for a virgin birth. It is known as Parthenogenesis. Parthenos (virgin) genesis (beginning/birth) is something that happens to be very common in the animal kingdom, but not seen among humans.
“Actual mate-less virgin birthing, known as parthenogenesis, “has now been observed to occur naturally within all lineages of jawed vertebrates, with the exception of mammals,” – ABC News
The above is interesting information, but it means absolutely nothing if we can’t back it up with scripture and prove that Satan does indeed have a son in the last days.
Will Satan Have A Son?
In at least two places in scripture, the serpent is referenced as having offspring. However, that doesn’t matter if we can’t prove that Satan is the serpent. Our task is to accomplish the following:
- Prove that Satan is the serpent.
- Prove that the serpent has offspring.
- Discover the Serpent’s motives to produce offspring.
“And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.” – Revelation 12:9
There we see it in bold. “That old serpent” refers to the serpent in the Garden of Eden. The verse then tells us the serpent is also called the Devil and Satan. Now that we’ve proven who the serpent is, we need to prove that he will have offspring.
Seed of The Serpent
The seed of the serpent is vastly different than the teachings of Serpent Seed. There are at least two verses in the Bible that refer to the serpent having offspring.
“And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.” – Genesis 3:15
In the verse above, God is speaking directly to the serpent in the garden. He specifically says, “thy seed” to the serpent. It is once again mentioned in the following verse.
“Rejoice not thou, whole Palestina, because the rod of him that smote thee is broken: for out of the serpent’s root shall come forth a cockatrice, and his fruit shall be a fiery flying serpent.” – Isaiah 14:29
Here it is again. If you’d like a technical breakdown of the above verse, check out my book, As The Days of Noah Were. Now that we’ve proven the serpent will have offspring, we can look into the motive behind it.
The Hail Mary – Satan’s Motive
I wonder if I’m the only person that finds it ironic that Satan would attempt a Hail Mary to avoid the Lake of Fire. The motives are twofold.
- Satan wants to be like the Most High. (Isaiah 14:14)
- Satan doesn’t want to go to the Lake of Fire. (Matthew 25:41)
Misery loves company. The birth of the Antichrist will be Satan’s attempt to copy God having a begotten Son, thus fulfilling at least one part of his ambition to be like the Most High. In addition to that, the Antichrist will draw worship away from Christ and likely re-direct it to Satan, fulfilling another part of his ambition to be like the Most High.
Why exactly is this a Hail Mary move? The Antichrist would be a nephilim, and the punishment for creating a nephilim is to be bound in the Outer Darkness. Perhaps, this is why Satan is bound (Revelation 20:2) and cast into the bottomless pit for 1,000 years before being sentenced to the Lake of Fire.
That’s just speculation, but it seems to be consistent with all of scripture.
When the Antichrist comes on the scene, will he be someone that was whipped up in a lab or will he claim a virgin birth by supernatural means? Is it possible that Satan will go so far as to choose a woman named Mary to give birth to his son? The Bible doesn’t say, but I don’t put anything past a powerful angel desperate to save himself from the Lake of Fire.
Food For Thought
How does the birth of the Antichrist connect to the days o Noah? Think about it first, then click here for the answer.
