Its amazing how many times you can read the Bible and still find something new that you’ve overlooked the first few times. Every time I think I’m just about finished with the 2nd edition of As The Days of Noah Were, I find something that I missed.
“Hast thou marked the old way which wicked men have trodden? Which were cut down out of time, whose foundation was overflown with a flood: Which said unto God, Depart from us: and what can the Almighty do for them?” – Job 22:15-17
Here we see that mankind had begun not just rejecting God, but actively telling Him to “go away”. When we compare this with our current society we see the same thing.
- Taking Christ out of Christmas.
- No commandments in government buildings.
- No prayer in schools.
- “One nation under God” is under fire.
- “In God We Trust” is under fire.
- Attacks on the Bible from all directions
- Attacks on Christianity from all directions.
These are just a few of the things going on in our society at this moment. It is my opinion that we are truly getting closer to the end. In Matthew 24:37 Jesus said that the last days would be like the days of Noah, and the verse in Job gives us just a little more insight as to what those days were truly like.
This post was inspired by the upcoming 2nd Edition of As The Days of Noah Were.
